Making the link between theory and practice: Apprentice-only groups in Level 2 and 3 study modules on the CMDA

Published on by Kate Bunker

The aim of this Scholarship Project is to conduct an evaluation of the interventions being made on the 22J presentations of B207 and B302, including ‘apprentice-only groups’ and a ‘CMDA B207 & B302 toolkit’ being developed.

The Project will enable the team to evaluate:

  • The benefit gained from Apprentices being grouped together on the academic modules
  • The extent to which both Apprentices, their home PTs, and the PTs working with groups of apprentices on the academic modules, are using the specific materials developed for them, and the benefits and challenges of their use
  • The extent to which the materials help the Apprentice to build their Portfolio of Evidence from content on the B207 and B302 academic modules
  • Which materials are the most effective, and how others could be adapted to make them more effective, to accomplish the objectives above.
