This report reviews the current status for the OU's embedding of student workload norms in modules. The report undertook a literature review, reviewed how well the norms are embedded, drew in student perspectives and any signs of impact for full time intensity study. Additionally the report examined perceived workload for OU students and any variability in learning outcomes practice.
Drawing all of the findings together, the report makes a set of recommendations for the OU to improve and develop practice for student workload.
