This project sought to enhance the value and impact of an innovative, interdisciplinary continuous professional learning (CPD) course for social care workers harnessing the power of language learning with the people in their care. Its purpose was to develop and test a suitable assessment strategy that would enable leaners to gain a digital badge for the recognition of the Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) undertaken by students of the non-accredited CPD course ‘Learning languages with senior learners’ (Open University, 2022).
