The project designed and tested an OpenLearnCreate course that re-used eyetracking data for the training of online language tutors. Two cycles of materials creation, testing, evaluation, feedback, re-design and re-testing were implemented and are in the process of being fully evaluated.

The initial result is a proof of concept that vicarious eyetracking can change tutors’ perspectives on online interaction and enhance their reflection to support deeper and sustainable staff development for online teaching skills.
